It’s hard to put into words what that first paddle out meant.

After Charlie’s passing, friends, family, teammates, and the community gathered in the water to honor him the only way that felt right — together, in the ocean. From above, the paddle out became more than a memorial. It became a symbol of love, loss, brotherhood, and the lasting impact one life can have on so many others.

For this design, we reconstructed that original drone shot as a tribute to that moment. The boards, the circle, and the people in the water all represent a community coming together to remember Charlie and carry his legacy forward.
