Last Sunday in Coronado, California we were excited to host one of our favorite events of the year, the URT SPOOK.  The event features surfers of all ages dressed in their favorite and spookiest costumes.

The event started with founder Ian Urtnowski and his buddies surfing in costume but transformed into an event that brings together ocean enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds.  Our focus is to bring something that’s fun and nostalgic to our community.

We had a great showing of surfers and beach goers dressed in some awesome costumes this year.  Some of our favorites were the spooky skeleton crew, the Oktoberfest boys, and a prisoner.  Despite a low tide at the start of the event, we also couldn't have been more pleased with the fun conditions and warm weather.  In addition, we were excited that the sand castle crew was back and built us an incredible masterpiece.
